Aaditya Vardhan Narain Presents a Research Paper Co-Authored with Dr. Raman Saxena and Prof. Y. Raghu Reddy at ICMI 2026

Aaditya Vardhan Narain, a student at IIIT Hyderabad’s Software Engineering Research Center (SERC), presented the paper “Inferring Openness to Experience from Behavioral Signals in a Virtual Reality Art Gallery” at the 28th ACM International Conference on Multimodal Interaction (ICMI 2026), held in Naples, Italy, from 5–9 October 2026. The paper was co-authored with his advisor, Dr. Raman Saxena, and co-advisor, Prof. Y. Raghu Reddy.

The research explores how behavioral signals in a virtual reality art gallery can help infer the personality trait of openness to experience. By analyzing participants’ movement, eye-gaze, and interaction patterns, the study highlights the potential of immersive virtual environments for personality recognition.
