SERI 2026 Successfully Concludes with Strong Academia–Industry Participation
The Software Engineering Research in India (SERI) 2026 conference concluded successfully at IIIT Hyderabad from 16–18 July 2026, bringing together researchers, academicians, industry practitioners, and students from across the country to foster collaboration and advance software engineering research in India.
Planned over several months, SERI 2026 exceeded expectations by welcoming nearly 350 unique participants from academia and industry. A key highlight of this year's edition was the introduction of Industry Day, which attracted around 150 participants and strengthened collaborations between academia and industry through engaging discussions and knowledge exchange.
The three-day conference featured a rich technical program comprising:

The event provided an excellent platform for presenting cutting-edge research, exchanging ideas, networking, and discussing emerging challenges and opportunities in software engineering.
SERI 2026 was made possible through the collective efforts of the Organising Committee, Steering Committee, faculty members, staff, and dedicated student volunteers. The successful completion of SERI 2026 reflects the growing momentum of software engineering research in India and reinforces the importance of continued collaboration between academia and industry.
