Haala is a PhD researcher in Computer Science, working in the area of Human–Computer Interaction (HCI). Her current research explores Motherhood through the lens of HCI, with a focus on understanding mothers’ lived experiences and their interactions with digital technologies across different stages of motherhood. Her broader research interests include maternal wellbeing, human-centered and inclusive design, sociotechnical systems and the social and cultural dimensions of technology use. She also serves as an EU–India Student Ambassador, contributing to academic and cultural exchange and promoting opportunities for international collaboration and student mobility. Beyond research, Haala enjoys singing, sketching, and calligraphy. She is also passionate about sports, particularly badminton, and enjoys playing table tennis and cricket.
